FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long are the seminars?

Most seminars are about 60 minutes followed by a 30 minute Q & A. We begin promptly at 10am and finish at 11:30am.

Can attendees ask questions?

Yes! We want you to get your questions answered. We do our homework, so many of your questions will likely be answered in the prepared program, but if you still have unanswered questions at the end, you will have an opportunity to ask. Specific questions that are very personal to your situation (i.e. can’t be generalized to the group) might better be answered by talking with a panelist privately after the program

Is there going to be a sales pitch?

Nope. No sales pitch. You will get to know the presenters, panelists, and hosts and decide if you want to request their services or products. Presenters and speakers may have materials available for you to pick up.

Can I attend if I'm not a senior?

We welcome anyone who believes the information would be valuable to them. If you are not a senior but seeking information to advise someone who is — or maybe you are planning ahead — please join us.

What if I have questions and can not make it to the seminar?

Please feel free to contact us concerning any questions you may have. If our event team is unable to answer your questions, we will direct you to one of our many trusted education partners or subject matter experts who can assist you.

Can I attend for business purposes?

We always welcome service providers and business owners seeking to learn. Due to limited seating, we reserve the right to provide priority seating to non-professionals.  As this event is for seniors and caregivers,  if you are not a senior or coming to learn how to care for a senior in your life, you will be charged a $25 fee payable at the door.  We have a VERY STRICT no solicitation / marketing policy and if you pass out business cards, wear branded clothing, or attempt to network with education partners or panelists for personal gain, we will ask you to leave. All attendees must check in and provide contact information.

Why is the event free for Seniors and their guests?

The professionals hosting, moderating, sponsoring, and serving as panelists have strong convictions about ensuring that people are educated, empowered, and equipped as they prepare for late-life issues, especially where and how they will live. They have donated their time and contributed toward event expenses so that ALL seniors can attend regardless of their financial situation.

Can I request a topic for the next seminar?

Absolutely! We want to make the Retirement Solutions Truth Seminar Series as meaningful and relevant as possible, so we welcome your suggestions and ideas. Naturally, we prepare the topics for the series well in advance, so be patient concerning timeframes for your suggested topic to hit the calendar.

About Retirement Solutions Truth Series

OUR MISSION

Retirement Solutions Truth Series is made up of professionals in the Berks County area who exhibit a heart to serve seniors.  Each months topic will bring a different panel of experts who will share their knowledge in a non-sales pitch atmosphere with the goal of helping mature adults make informed decisions.

Topics will range from healthcare, financial and legal issues, navigating estate and trust planning, downsizing from your longtime home, exploring todays numerous senior living options available to seniors, as well as resources to help you age-in-place safely,  just to name a few. No topic is off limits and we welcome suggestions for future topics from our attendees.  All questions are welcomed.

We believe empowering seniors and their families with knowledge and information will allow them to self-discover what options are best for them. This is true for caregivers, family members, and most importantly, seniors who are doing their best to navigate the decision making process in a world where nothing seems to be “clear cut” and everybody seems to have a hidden agenda.   We believe knowledge is power.

MODERATOR and HOST

Julie Musser is the visionary behind The Retirement Solutions Truth Series and is the moderator for these seminars.  She has been a real estate professional for 18 years.  After helping numerous senior clients and retirees downsize from their family home and witnessing first-hand with her own family the genuine overwhelm and stress such a move can cause on one’s life, and how not having a plan in place only added to the stress, she is now committed to assisting seniors and their families make late-in-life moves hassle-free.  She is a Downsizing Coach and (CSHP) Certified Senior Housing Professional.  She also holds the (SRES) Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation.
